Holidays Act Compliance - Hawkes Bay District (Health NZ)

The Hawkes Bay District, as part of Te Whatu Ora Health NZ, faced significant payroll compliance challenges due to a noncompliant payroll system. Constant Control led the end-to-end rectification and remediation payments programme, being only the second district to be delivered out of 14 others.

Through expert project management, change leadership, and precision-driven analysis, we supported the overhaul of the existing system, working with multiple vendors to deliver a fully compliant payroll system, along with remediation payments for over 4,000 Hawke’s Bay Health NZ staff, receiving $15M in backpay (RNZ).


Holidays Act Compliance - South Canterbury District (Health NZ)

When South Canterbury District faced issues with their payroll compliance project, Constant Control stepped in to drive results. Our expert oversight restored project stability, delivering a compliant payroll system and remediation payments to over 1000 staff - the came 4 weeks after the successful delivery of Hawkes Bay and was the third district to be delivered out of 14 others.

This initiative follows the recent remediation of nearly $4M in payments to South Canterbury health staff, further reinforcing the crucial role of accurate payroll compliance (The Press).


Software Commercialisation - Port of Auckland

Port of Auckland engaged Constant Control to commercialise eMPX, a digital Master-Pilot Exchange software, to enhance pilotage planning for marine pilots. We were the driving force at every stage of its development, from taking over the product and business strategy, to navigating the complexities of market development and commercialisation.

With Constant Control, eMPX transformed from a mere concept into the professional standard for Master-Pilot exchange, widely adopted across the globe. Our experience and skills in product and project delivery enabled us to lead eMPX’s evolution, culminating in its successful exit to Trelleborg.


Sharepoint/D365/ Implementation - Surf Lifesaving New Zealand

Surf Lifesaving New Zealand engaged us to upgrade and integrate both SharePoint 365 and Dynamics 365, to streamline donor and staff management across their national operations. We utilised our extensive MS365 experience to ensure the project adhered to business requirements, project timelines and budget constraints.

Our experience in similar projects allowed us to tailor SharePoint’s document capabilities to D365’s workflows, meeting the charity’s very specific needs. We also supported staff and volunteers through the transition, offering training and change support, enabling effective daily use from launch date.


Payroll/HRIS Upgrade - Napier Port

A vital New Zealand shipping hub with 300+ staff, Napier Port tasked Constant Control with the project delivery of a cloud-based Payroll/HRIS upgrade to streamline its HR and payroll processes. We collaborated with the preselected vendor and Port stakeholders to define a scope that met the diverse workforce needs, while integrating finance and BI systems.

Our extensive experience guided the project, from scoping to delivery, while also eliminating the need for an additional system after thorough analysis, saving significant costs. Working closely with HR, payroll, and vendor teams, we adjusted to seasonal operational demands while maintaining delivery targets thoughout the project.


Site Access System - Napier City Council

Napier City Council engaged us to manage the change process for implementing a new site access system across multiple locations. Our focus was on ensuring staff could transition smoothly with minimal disruption, while adopting the new system effectively.

We collaborated closely with their vendor to ensure the system met business needs and that staff requirements were considered from the outset. Throughout the rollout, we provided clear communication, structured training, and hands-on support to help employees adjust to new processes. By proactively addressing concerns and encouraging engagement, we ensured widespread adoption. The project was delivered on time and under budget, embedding lasting change and improving daily access and reporting operations.
