1. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to affirm Constant Control’s commitment to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all team members, clients, contractors, and visitors. It outlines our approach to effective health and safety management, including responsibilities at all levels of the organisation, in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and all relevant New Zealand regulations.
2. Our Commitment
Constant Control is committed to:
Providing a work environment that is free from harm as far as reasonably practicable.
Ensuring all work activities are carried out safely, and any risks to health and safety are identified, assessed, and effectively controlled.
Meeting or exceeding all applicable health and safety legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
Continuously improving our health and safety systems and performance through regular monitoring and review.
Promoting a culture of shared responsibility, proactive risk management, and open communication about health and safety issues.
3. Scope
This policy applies to all Constant Control team members, contractors, clients, and visitors in any location where work is undertaken, including on-site at client premises, remote/home-based work environments, and during travel for work purposes.
4. Responsibilities
4.1 Director(s)
Ensure the organisation meets its primary duty of care under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
Provide appropriate resources to maintain and improve health and safety systems.
Review health and safety performance regularly and lead by example.
Approve this policy and any updates.
4.2 Team Members
Take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others.
Follow all health and safety procedures, instructions, and training provided.
Immediately report any risks, incidents, near misses, or health and safety concerns.
Ensure safe practices when working remotely or at client sites, including adherence to site-specific safety requirements.
4.3 Contractors and Subcontractors
Must comply with this policy and any client or site-specific health and safety requirements.
Are expected to carry out their duties in a manner that does not expose others to risk.
Report any incidents or hazards to the project lead or client representative immediately.
5. Health and Safety Practices
Constant Control maintains the following key practices:
Risk assessments for new work environments, including client sites and remote workspaces.
Clear incident reporting and investigation procedures.
Safe driving and travel protocols for off-site work.
Provision of ergonomic guidance and tools for remote work setups.
Regular policy reviews, with updates communicated to all team members.
6. Policy Review
This Health and Safety Policy will be reviewed at least every two years, or earlier if there are significant changes to the business, legislation, or operational risk profile.
